Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Naselle). They put the hurt on the Northport Mustangs with a sharp 25-4 win on Saturday. Winning may never get old, but the Comets sure are getting used to it with their fifth in a row.

Naselle's victory was their eighth straight at home, which pushed their record up to 14-4. The home wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 10.3 runs over those games. As for Northport, their defeat ended a seven-game streak of away wins and brought them to 17-5.

Looking ahead, Naselle will head out on the road to square off against Liberty Christian at 1:00 p.m. on Friday. The two teams have allowed few runs on average (the Comets 3.1, the Patriots 1.7) so any runs scored will be well earned. Northport does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
