Football Recap: Cross Comes Up Short

If Cross was riding high fresh off their 37-6 takedown of North Charleston last Friday, their most recent game may have dampened their spirits a bit. The Trojans were just a hair shy of victory on Friday and fell 7-6 to the Timberland Wolves. The loss put an end to the Trojans' undefeated start to the season.

Tyler Harris threw for 148 yards on 16 of 26 attempts. Caden Ramsey was his top target, picking up 95 receiving yards. On the ground, Mah'Ky Green rushed for 37 yards.

Having lost for the first time this season, Cross fell to 2-1. As for Timberland, the victory (which was their third in a row) raised their record to 3-0.

Cross will get a bit of extra time to process the defeat as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Military Magnet Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 19th. As for Timberland, they will be playing at home against Kingstree at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
