Softball Game Preview: Northern Bedford County Panthers vs. Windber Ramblers

The Northern Bedford County Panthers will square off against the Windber Ramblers at 4:30 p.m. on Thursday. Having both just faced considerable losses, both teams are looking to turn things around.

Tuesday just wasn't the day for Northern Bedford County's offense. They came up short against Everett last Tuesday, falling 16-0. Having soared to a lofty ten runs in the game before, the Panthers' shutout was a dramatic turnaround.

Northern Bedford County saw four different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Callie Miller, who went 1-for-2 with one double.

Meanwhile, Windber unfortunately witnessed the end of their five-game winning streak on Tuesday. They lost 15-7 to Meyersdale. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Ramblers have suffered since April 15, 2024.

Windber's loss dropped their record down to 6-2. As for Northern Bedford County, they have been struggling recently as they've lost three of their last four contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 1-4-1 record this season.
