Recap: St. Michaels Saints vs. Mardela Warriors
St. Michaels had to kick off their season on the road on Thursday, but they showed no ill effects. They walked away with a 6-2 victory over the Mardela Warriors. That result was just more of the same for these two, as St. Michaels also won the last time the pair played back in April of 2023.
St. Michaels got a great performance from Jake Seek as he struck out ten batters over six innings while giving up just two earned runs off three hits.
At the plate, Connor Wheeler was excellent, scoring a run and stealing two bases while going 1-for-3. Henry Mullikin was another key contributor, scoring a run and stealing a base while going 1-for-3.
Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. St. Michaels will take on Snow Hill at 4:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Mardela, they will get a bit of extra time to process the loss as their next game is a ways off. They'll take on Washington at 4:00 p.m. on April 4th.
