Volleyball Recap: Mechanicsburg Comes Up Short

Mechanicsburg lost against West Liberty-Salem back in October of 2024, and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Thursday. The Indians lost 3-0 to the Tigers. The Indians have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-10, 25-15.

Alasia Critchfield paced Mechanicsburg's offense, picking up five kills. Critchfield got some help from Sydnee Hurst and her 13 assists. Avery McDowell controlled things from the service line, finishing with two aces.

Mechanicsburg now has a losing record of 2-3. As for West Liberty-Salem, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-2.

We've got plenty of inter-conference action coming up soon. Mechanicsburg is set to square off against their familiar foe Triad at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, West Liberty-Salem will take on rival West Jefferson at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
