3A District 4 recap Oct. 9, 2012
Bell County extended the longest winning streak in 3A District 4 this week by beating Clay County, 39-0. The victory was the sixth in a row for the Bobcats.
Casey County made the biggest jump in the national rankings this week, rising to 12,469 from 12,695. The advance stemmed from a 48-7 victory over the Rebels last week.
Wayne County's offense has been unstoppable this season and the Cardinals feature the season leaders in passing, rushing and receiving yards. Tyler Guffey has thrown for 185 yards and three touchdowns this season, while Jason Perkins has two catches for 78 yards. Nathan Garner leads the league in rushing with 61 yards.
A big matchup in the league this week will be when Corbin takes on Bell County. The Redhounds are currently in third, while Dudley Hilton's team is in second.
Corbin led 3A District 4 in scoring this week after putting up 64 points on McCreary Central.
