Baseball Recap: Loudoun Valley Extends Winning Streak to Three

Loudoun Valley hadn't beaten Broad Run on the road since March 17, 2016 but that history sure didn't bother them on Tuesday. The Vikings were the clear victors by an 8-1 margin over the Spartans. Considering the Vikings have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Tuesday's blowout was nothing new.

The victory was the third in a row for Loudoun Valley, bringing their record up to 3-2. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 11.0 runs over those games. As for Broad Run, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 1-3.

Coming up, Loudoun Valley will host Musselman at 6:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Broad Run, they will venture away from home to square off against Stone Bridge at 6:30 p.m. on Thursday.
