Basketball Game Preview: Stargate School Eagles vs. Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors

The Stargate School Eagles will challenge the Eagle Ridge Academy Warriors at 3:30 p.m. on Saturday. Stargate School knows how to get points on the board -- the team has finished with 55 points or more in their past ten contests -- so hopefully Eagle Ridge Academy likes a good challenge.

Stargate School came up into this matchup off a tough 23-point loss on Thursday. This time they kept things ultra-competitive, but unfortunately the final result was the same. They fell just short of Jefferson Academy by a score of 66-63 on Tuesday. Despite running the score up even higher than they did in their prior game on Thursday (62), the Eagles still had to take the loss.

Meanwhile, Eagle Ridge Academy played a tough match on Tuesday in which they were outscored in every quarter. They were outmatched by Kent Denver and fell 116-36. The game marked the Warriors' lowest-scoring contest so far this season.

Stargate School has been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matches, which put a noticeable dent in their 8-5 record this season. As for Eagle Ridge Academy, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 4-8.

Stargate School didn't have too much breathing room in their game against Eagle Ridge Academy in their previous meeting back in February of 2024, but they still walked away with a 63-58 win.
