Preview: Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders vs. St. Xavier Bombers

Archbishop Moeller is 9-1 against St. Xavier since January of 2020, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Friday. The Archbishop Moeller Fighting Crusaders will look to defend their home court against the St. Xavier Bombers at 7:30 p.m. Archbishop Moeller will be looking to keep their ten-game home win streak (dating back to last season) alive.

On Tuesday, Archbishop Moeller didn't have too much breathing room in their match against Mason, but they still walked away with a 42-38 victory. Given Archbishop Moeller's advantage in MaxPreps' Ohio basketball rankings (they are ranked third, while Mason is ranked 186th), the result wasn't entirely unexpected.

Meanwhile, St. Xavier beat Wyoming 50-37 on Saturday. The win made it back-to-back wins for St. Xavier.

Among those leading the charge was Dominic Sidoti, who scored 12 points. Another player making a difference was Brayden Reilly, who scored 13 points along with two blocks.

St. Xavier's lineup was just a bit different on Saturday as Sidoti got a bit more time on the court (29 vs. his season average of 11.5). Sidoti made the most of the opportunity, scoring 12 points. A few more games like that and he might be seeing even more time going forward.

Archbishop Moeller's victory bumped their record up to 19-1. As for St. Xavier, their win bumped their record up to 14-5.
