Maloney had already won four in a row (a stretch where they outscored their opponents by an average of 8.5 runs) and they went ahead and made it five on Tuesday. Everything went their way against the Platt Panthers as they made off with a 15-1 victory. That's the second time they've managed to beat them this season, as they also won 17-0 on Friday.
Stella Cicero made a splash no matter where she played. She struck out 11 batters over five innings while giving up just one earned run off one hit (and not a single walk). She has been nothing but reliable on the mound: she hasn't given up more than two walks in 11 consecutive appearances. She was also big at the plate, going a perfect 3-for-3 with two runs and two RBI. That's the most runs she has posted since back in April.
In other batting news, Remi Rosado was incredible, getting on base in all four of her plate appearances with four runs. Julianie Brito also deserves some recognition as she got her first hit of the season.
Maloney kept the outfield on their toes and finished the game with 16 hits. That strong performance was nothing new for the team: they've now got at least ten hits in three consecutive games.
