Basketball Game Preview: Wissahickon Trojans vs. Abington Galloping Ghosts

The Wissahickon Trojans will venture away from home to square off against the Abington Galloping Ghosts at 12:00 p.m. on Friday. Wissahickon is coming into the matchup on a three-game losing streak.

Last Tuesday, Wissahickon came up short against Plymouth Whitemarsh and fell 52-44. While losing is never fun, the Trojans can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 199th, while the Colonials are ranked 17th).

Meanwhile, Abington's undefeated season came to an end after four games on Tuesday. They might have been a little too into the holiday spirit, gifting Upper Dublin an easy 70-48 win. For those keeping track at home, that's the biggest defeat the Galloping Ghosts have suffered since January 23rd.

Wissahickon now has a losing record at 2-3. As for Abington, their loss was their first of the season and makes their record 4-1.

Wissahickon came up short against Abington in their previous matchup back in February, falling 76-69. Can Wissahickon avenge their defeat or is history doomed to repeat itself? We'll find out soon enough.
