Basketball Game Preview: Alto Yellowjackets vs. Gary Bobcats

Alto is on a four-game streak of home wins, while Gary is on a four-game streak of away wins: one of those streaks is about to end. The Alto Yellowjackets will welcome the Gary Bobcats at 6:00 p.m. on Friday. Alto knows how to get points on the board -- the squad has finished with 55 points or more in their past five games -- so hopefully Gary likes a good challenge.

Alto is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Tuesday. They managed a 62-56 victory over Big Sandy.

Meanwhile, Gary hadn't done well against Chireno recently (they were 0-9 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Gary enjoyed a cozy 53-38 win over Chireno.

Gary has been performing incredibly well recently as they've won ten of their last 11 contests, which provided a nice bump to their 26-8 record this season. Those victories came thanks in part to their offensive performance across that stretch, as they averaged 54.7 points over those games. As for Alto, their victory bumped their record up to 22-9.

Alto was taken down by Gary 91-53 in their previous matchup back in November of 2024. That matchup was all but decided by halftime, at which point Alto was down 45-23.
