Basketball Recap: Carlynton Takes a Loss

After flying high against Rochester on Monday, Carlynton came back down to earth. The contest between the Cougars and the Avella Eagles didn't end well, with the Cougars falling 62-47. The Cougars were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their loss the last time these teams played back in December of 2024.

Carlynton's defeat dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Avella, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 4-1.

Looking ahead, Carlynton will be home for the holidays to greet Northgate at 7:30 p.m. on Monday. As for Avella, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Summit Academy at 7:30 p.m. on the 23rd.
