Baseball Recap: Eureka Takes a Loss

Eureka was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They came up short against the Flinthills Mustangs, falling 12-2. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Tornadoes of the 19-8 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in March of 2024.

Eureka's loss dropped their record down to 0-6-1. As for Flinthills, their victory bumped their record up to 2-7.

Looking ahead, Eureka will welcome Humboldt on Tuesday. As for Flinthills, they will head out to challenge Central at 2:00 p.m. on Monday. The Raiders have struggled to contain batters this season (they've allowed 16.25 runs per game on average), something the Mustangs will no doubt try to take advantage of.
