Volleyball Recap: Clay-Battelle Beats East Fairmont for Their Fourth Straight Victory

Clay-Battelle had already won three in a row and they went ahead and made it four on Thursday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the East Fairmont Bees. The Cee-Bees have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Bees, too.

The match finished with set scores of 25-17, 25-20.

Clay-Battelle's offense was headlined by McKenzie Watson and Nevaeh St.Clair, who picked up six kills apiece. They got some help from Maggie Lemley and her 14 assists. St.Clair was also solid from the service line: she led the team with four aces.

Clay-Battelle's win bumped their record up to 4-0. As for East Fairmont, they are on a five-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-4.

Looking ahead, Clay-Battelle will challenge Ravenswood at 12:00 p.m. on Saturday. As for East Fairmont, they will host North Marion at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. This will be the Bees' first chance to prove their worth in the conference.
