Basketball Recap: Trinity Valley Snaps Six-Game Streak of Losses on the Road

After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Southwest Christian School, Trinity Valley was happy to have turned things around on Friday. They came out on top against the Temple Christian Eagles by a score of 38-27. That's more bragging rights for the Trojans, who also won the pair's last head-to-head.

Temple Christian lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Z Dela Paz, who posted eight points. Dela Paz is trending in the right direction considering she's improved her point production for three straight games. B Esskew was another key player, putting up six points.

Trinity Valley's win ended a six-game drought on the road dating back to last season and puts them at 2-3. As for Temple Christian, they have been struggling recently as they've lost four of their last five matchups, which put a noticeable dent in their 5-6 record this season.

Coincidentally, the two teams will both be playing Oakridge the next time they take the court. Temple Christian will head out to face Oakridge at 11:00 a.m. on January 4, 2025, while Trinity Valley will host them at 6:00 p.m. on January 8, 2025.
