It may have taken double overtime to finish the job, but Manteca ultimately got the result they hoped for on Thursday. They won a contest that couldn't have been any closer, slipping by the Sierra Timberwolves 13-12. This was a revenge game for the Buffaloes: when they faced off against the Timberwolves on Tuesday, they had to take a 13-6 defeat.

Although Sierra took the loss, they still got scores from Kileyann O'Neill and Tessa Zalunardo.

Manteca has been performing well recently as they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 10-6 record this season. The victories came thanks in part to their defensive effort, having only surrendered 5.2 points on average over those games. As for Sierra, the loss snapped their winning streak at four games and leaves them with a 8-6 record.

Coming up, Manteca will head out to square off against Mountain House at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday. As for Sierra, they wasted no time getting back out on the field and have already played their next game, a 26-0 defeat against East Union on the 7th.
