Volleyball Recap: Loogootee Has No Trouble Against South Knox

Loogootee barely beat South Knox the last time the pair played, but that sure wasn't the case this time around. The Lions were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over the Spartans on Tuesday. The win made it back-to-back victories for the Lions.

The victory didn't come easy: South Knox scored at least 19 points in every set. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-19, 25-22, 25-23.

Alaina Diamond paced Loogootee's offense, picking up 17 kills. Diamond got some help from Aubrey Gilbert and her 24 assists. Gilbert also made an impact serving: she shared the team lead in aces with Madison Davis, each putting up two.

Loogootee's win bumped their record up to 10-15. As for South Knox, they have traveled a rocky road recently, having lost four of their last five contests. That's put a noticeable dent in their 13-12 record this season.

Loogootee has already played their next matchup, a 3-0 defeat against Bedford North Lawrence on the 9th. As for South Knox, they also wasted no time getting back out on the court and have already played their next match, a 3-1 victory against Princeton on the 9th.
