Winning is always nice, but doing so behind a season-high score is even better (just ask Smiths Station). They walked away with an 11-7 victory over the Opelika Bulldogs on Tuesday. The win was some much needed relief for the Panthers as it spelled an end to their six-game losing streak.

Smiths Station's victory was their first in the region, bumping their region record up to 1-2 and their overall record up to 6-17-1. As for Opelika, they are on a three-game losing streak that has dropped them down to 14-14.

Smiths Station will have a chance to go back-to-back against the Bulldogs: the pair's next game is a rematch scheduled at 5:30 p.m. on Thursday.
