Softball Recap: Montcalm Comes Up Short

Montcalm came into their game on Monday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They lost 10-2 to the PikeView Panthers. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Generals of the 6-0 loss they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2019.

Montcalm now has a losing record of 1-2. As for PikeView, they are on a roll lately: they've won five of their last six matchups. That's provided a massive bump to their 8-8 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Montcalm will host Mount View at 1:30 p.m. on Monday. As for PikeView, they will be playing in front of their home fans against James Monroe at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
