After having lost a blowout in their previous game against Vardaman, West Point was happy to have turned things around on Tuesday. While the 2-2 score might suggest a draw, it was the Green Wave who were credited with the victory. The West Point Green Wave got it done in the shootout by posting three goals to the Winona Tigers's two. This was a revenge game for West Point: when they faced off against Winona two weeks ago, they had to take a 1-1 defeat.

West Point's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-2. As for Winona, their loss dropped their record down to 1-1.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. West Point will face off against Houston at 7:00 p.m. on Monday. As for Winona, they will take on Yazoo County at 7:00 p.m. on Thursday.
