Softball Recap: King Takes a Loss

King and East English Village Prep squared off in some playoff action on Saturday, but King had to settle for second. They took a 19-15 hit to the loss column at the hands of East English Village Prep. Unfortunately, that's the third time they've come up short against East English Village Prep this season, with their most recent defeat being a 16-4 loss back in April.

Tae'Iona Hill led a balanced group of hitters, going 3-for-4 with three runs and two doubles. Cheyenne Malpress was another key player, going a perfect 3-for-3 with three runs and one triple.

This is the second loss in a row for King and nudges their season record down to 21-5. As for East English Village Prep, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-2-1.

Looking ahead, King will face off against Thurston at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. East English Village Prep does not have any more games scheduled as of now.
