Basketball Recap: Hilliard Davidson Comes Up Short

Hilliard Davidson was not able to break out of their rough patch on Saturday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They lost 58-35 to the Dublin Scioto Irish. The Wildcats were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Irish apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in November of 2023.

Despite the loss, Hilliard Davidson still got an impressive performance from Chloe Crawford, who posted eight points.

Dublin Scioto had a senior duo take command as Kamarice Jackson went 10 of 20 on her way to 25 points and five steals and Niah Smedley went 6 of 13 on her way to 15 points in addition to six assists and five blocks. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Jackson has scored all season.

Hilliard Davidson's record is now 1-10. As for Dublin Scioto, the win got them back to even at 5-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Hilliard Davidson will venture away from home to square off against Central Crossing at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Dublin Scioto, they will head out to take on Olentangy Orange at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
