Sacramento Country Day has no trouble against Cristo Rey

The Sacramento Country Day Cavaliers had to endure a four-game losing streak, but that streak is no more. Everything went their way against Cristo Rey on Friday as Sacramento Country Day made off with a 48-28 victory. The win was just what Sacramento Country Day needed coming off of a 71-33 defeat in their prior contest.

Parker Byers was his usual excellent self, scoring 17 points along with eight rebounds and three blocks. He is trending in the right direction, as he's improved his point production for three games straight. The team also got some help courtesy of Ryan Scripps, who scored ten points along with six assists and six rebounds.

The victory got Sacramento Country Day back to even at 8-8. As for Cristo Rey, their defeat was their ninth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-11.

Sacramento Country Day will take on Sacramento Adventist at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Cristo Rey, they will be playing at home against Western Sierra Collegiate Academy at 12:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Western Sierra Collegiate Academy will be looking to extend their current 12-game winning streak.
