Madison County hadn't done well against Clarke County recently (they were 1-8 in their previous nine matchups), but they didn't let the past get in their way on Friday. The Mountaineers narrowly escaped with a victory as the team sidled past the Eagles 2-1. For Madison County, this counts as revenge for the 6-1 win Clarke County walked away with the last time they faced one another back in May of 2024.
