Preview: Lancaster Mennonite Blazers vs. Annville-Cleona Dutchmen

Lancaster Mennonite is 9-1 against Annville-Cleona since January of 2017, and they'll have a chance to extend that success on Monday. The Lancaster Mennonite Blazers will head out on the road to face off against the Annville-Cleona Dutchmen at 7:30 p.m. Lancaster Mennonite is coming into the match hot, having won their last four games.

Even though Lancaster Mennonite has not done well against Lancaster Catholic recently (they were 2-7 in their previous nine matchups), they didn't let the past get in their way on Tuesday. Lancaster Mennonite snuck past Lancaster Catholic with a 57-53 victory.

Lancaster Mennonite found their leader in underclassman Cody Fisher, who scored 23 points. The match was Fisher's fourth in a row with at least ten points. Chase Hurst was another key contributor, scoring 11 points.

Meanwhile, Annville-Cleona unfortunately witnessed the end of their three-game winning streak on Thursday. They took a 52-39 hit to the loss column at the hands of Big Spring. While losing is never fun, Annville-Cleona can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Pennsylvania basketball rankings (they are ranked 250th, while Big Spring is ranked 103rd).

Lancaster Mennonite's win bumped their record up to 4-2. As for Annville-Cleona, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-1.

Lancaster Mennonite beat Annville-Cleona 58-49 when the teams last played back in January. Will Lancaster Mennonite repeat their success, or does Annville-Cleona have a new game plan this time around? We'll find out soon enough.
