Baseball Game Preview: Crescent City Raiders vs. Halifax Academy Knights

The Crescent City Raiders will take on the Halifax Academy Knights at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. Crescent City has given up an average of 13.6 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week.

Crescent City is coming in off a wild two-game stretch: after soaring to 19 runs on Thursday, they were much more limited against Williston on Friday. They lost 17-1 to the Red Devils. The Raiders have struggled against the Red Devils recently, as the game was their sixth consecutive lost meetings.

Crescent City saw two different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Giancarlo Baylon, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one RBI. That hit was Baylon's first of the season.

Meanwhile, Halifax Academy had to start their season on the road on Thursday, and it wasn't the start they were hoping for. They came up short against Central Florida Christian Academy, falling 17-7.

Crescent City's loss dropped their record down to 1-7. As for Halifax Academy, their defeat was their fifth straight on the road dating back to last season, which dropped their record down to 0-1.
