Football Recap: Wellborn Takes a Loss + How To Watch

Wellborn dropped to 5-3 on Friday, ending the team's three-game streak of wins at home. They took a blow against the Piedmont Bulldogs, falling 56-16. The Panthers were in a tough position after the first half, with the score already sitting at 29-0.

As for Piedmont, the win keeps them at an undefeated 9-0. They might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won seven games by 40 points or more this season.

Piedmont's success was the result of a balanced attack that saw several players step up, but Cole Austin led the charge by throwing for 142 yards and two touchdowns, while also rushing for 37 yards and one TD. The Bulldogs' leading receiver Rollie Pinto was Austin's top target yet again, picking up 125 receiving yards and a pair of scores.
