Volleyball Game Preview: McIntosh Chiefs vs. South Effingham Mustangs

The McIntosh Chiefs will square off against the South Effingham Mustangs at 5:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Each of these teams will be fighting to keep a win streak alive as McIntosh comes in on five and South Effingham on nine.

McIntosh is on a roll after a high-stakes playoff matchup on Saturday. They were the clear victors by a 3-0 margin over River Ridge.

McIntosh never let River Ridge on the board, but things got pretty close in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-12, 25-14, 25-22.

Meanwhile, South Effingham was able to grind out a solid win over Milton on Saturday, taking the game 3-1.

South Effingham had a slow start but a hot finish: after dropping the first set, they turned around to win the next three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 21-25, 25-21, 25-19, 25-18.

McIntosh's victory bumped their record up to 39-9. As for South Effingham, their win bumped their record up to 40-10.
