Football Recap: Hidalgo Pirates vs. Bay City Blackcats

Hidalgo and Bay City squared off in some playoff action on Thursday, but Hidalgo had to settle for second. They were beaten by the Bay City Blackcats 87-0. While losing is never fun, the Pirates can't take it too hard given the team's big disadvantage in MaxPreps' Texas football rankings (they are ranked 1088th, while the Blackcats are ranked 238th).

Ian Szczuroski threw for 63 yards on six of 12 attempts. Nick Hernandez was his top target, picking up 34 receiving yards.
