Football Recap: Fort Dorchester Takes a Loss

Fort Dorchester came into their game on Friday off a hard-fought close win, but unfortunately suffered a serious change of fortune. They had to suffer through a 56-3 loss at the hands of the Stratford Knights. The loss put an end to the Patriots' undefeated start to the season.

Thomas Adamsky threw for 159 yards on 14 of 26 attempts. Kyrome Durant was his top target, picking up 51 receiving yards. On the ground, Damon (Sumo) Brown rushed for 56 yards.

Jachin Davis had an outrageously good game for Stratford as he rushed for 140 yards and a pair of touchdowns on only five carries, and also threw for 145 yards and two TDs on only nine passes. Those 140 rushing yards gave Davis a new career-high.

Having lost for the first time this season, Fort Dorchester fell to 2-1. As for Stratford, they now also have a winning record of 2-1.

Coming up, Fort Dorchester will be playing at home against South Florence at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Stratford, they will head out to challenge Socastee at 7:30 p.m. on Friday.
