After only one run in their last game, Boyd County made sure to put some runs up on the board against Simon Kenton on Friday. The Lions put the hurt on the Pioneers with a sharp 16-3 victory. The Lions might be getting used to big wins seeing as the team has won 11 matchups by six runs or more this season.

Boyd County is on a roll lately: they've won 19 of their last 20 contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 22-5 record this season. Those wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 8.8 runs over those games. As for Simon Kenton, their defeat dropped their record down to 15-9-3.
