Westminster triumphant thanks to a strong effort from Daigan Gray

Recap: Westminster Wolves vs. Kennedy Commanders

The Westminster Wolves's game last Friday was a tough loss, but they didn't let that memory haunt them on Monday. They were the clear victor by a 76-54 margin over Kennedy. With Westminster ahead 43-20 at the half, the match was all but over already.

Daigan Gray continued his habit of posting crazy stat lines, scoring 33 points along with seven rebounds and five steals. That makes it three consecutive games in which he has scored at least a third of Westminster's points. Anthony Victoria Morales was another key contributor, almost dropping a double-double on 11 points and nine rebounds.

Despite the loss, Kennedy saw an underclassman step up: Quinn Padilla scored 16 points along with six rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Padilla has scored all season. Another player making a difference was Ian Martinez, who scored seven points.

Westminster's victory bumped their record up to 5-14. As for Kennedy, they dropped their record down to 4-15 with that loss, which was their fourth straight at home.

Westminster will take on Denver South at 7:00 p.m. on Wednesday. Denver South will be up against Westminster's rather soft defense (which has allowed 60.74 points per matchup), so fans could be in store for a big offensive showing. As for Kennedy, they will head out on the road to challenge Northfield at 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday. Northfield has been dominant on offense recently, as they've racked up an incredible 1,438 points over their last 18 matches.
