Softball Recap: Wells Comes Up Short

Wells was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss. They came up short against the Mt. Enterprise Wildcats, falling 12-2. The Pirates were given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Wildcats apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in April of 2018.

Wells' loss dropped their record down to 0-5-1. As for Mt. Enterprise, their win bumped their record up to 6-2.

Looking ahead, Wells will venture away from home to challenge Alto at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. Wells has given up an average of 11.7 runs per game this season, so hopefully the team got some pitching drills in this week. As for Mt. Enterprise, a feisty cat fight will be fought as Mt. Enterprise Wildcats challenge Neches Tigers at 5:00 p.m. on Friday. They are strutting in with some hitting muscle as they've averaged 8.4 runs per game this season.
