Basketball Recap: Terrell County Comes Up Short

Terrell County was not able to break out of their rough patch on Tuesday as the team picked up their third straight loss. They were just a bucket shy of victory and fell 59-58 to the Mitchell County Eagles. The Greenwave were probably out for revenge after losing 80-69 to them when the teams met back in January, then they'll just have to keep looking.

Terrell County lost despite a true team effort on offense, the best among them being Cordarius Perry, who posted 25 points. Perry's evening made it four games in a row in which he has scored at least ten points. Jaylin Perry was another key player, putting up 18 points.

Terrell County's defeat dropped their record down to 2-4. As for Mitchell County, their victory bumped their record up to 4-1.

Terrell County will take on Early County at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. One thing working in Early County's favor is that they have posted at least 55 points in their last seven contests. As for Mitchell County, they will look to defend their home court on Friday against Randolph-Clay at 7:30 p.m.
