Basketball Recap: Rooted School Triumphs

On Tuesday, the Rooted School Royals had just enough and edged the Central Christian Academy Chargers out 42-39. The victory made it back-to-back wins for the Royals.

Antwan Greer was nothing short of spectacular: he posted 21 points. With that strong performance, he is now averaging an impressive 17 points per game. Rahmon Durham was another key player, putting up eight points.

Rooted School's win bumped their record up to 3-1. As for Central Christian Academy, they are on a six-game losing streak (dating back to last season) that has dropped them down to 0-5.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rooted School will square off against GEO Next Generation at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Central Christian Academy, they will challenge Irvington Preparatory Academy at 7:30 p.m. on Friday. Irvington Preparatory Academy is strutting in with some offensive muscle as they've averaged 50 points per game this season.
