The Point Pleasant Big Blacks will face off against the Meigs Marauders at 5:00 p.m. on Wednesday.

Things were looking good for Point Pleasant after they put the first points on the board on Monday, but unfortunately for them things went downhill from there. They fell just short of Jackson by a score of 4-3.

Chloe Patrick was cooking despite her team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run. Brynn Roush also deserves some recognition as she scored her first run of the season.

Meanwhile, Meigs waltzed into their match on Monday with two straight wins... but they left with three. Everything went their way against the Eagles as they made off with a 14-2 win. Considering the Marauders have won three contests by more than six runs this season, Monday's blowout was nothing new.

Ava Horn and Gracie Yost did most of the damage at the plate: Horn went 3-for-4 with four RBI, one run, and one double, while Yost scored three runs and stole a base while going 2-for-2. Those three runs gave Yost a new career-high. Another player making a difference was Aubrey Newell, who scored two runs while going 3-for-4.

Meigs always had someone on base and finished the game having posted an OBP of .667. They easily outclassed their opponents in that department as Eastern only posted an OBP of .263.

Meigs' victory was their third straight on the road, which pushed their record up to 3-1. The wins came thanks in part to their hitting performance across that stretch, as they averaged 16.3 runs over those games. As for Point Pleasant, their loss dropped their record down to 1-3.
