Softball Recap: Scranton Knights vs. North Pocono Trojans
Scranton had lost 16 straight at home dating back to last season, but on Friday they dropped down to 1-7 to make it 17. They came up short against the North Pocono Trojans, falling 23-1. Having soared to a lofty 13 runs in the game before, the Knights couldn't push the score so high this time.
As for North Pocono, the victory (which was their fifth in a row) raised their record to 9-2. That looming 23-1 mark stands out as the most commanding margin for them yet this season.
For North Pocono's part, Amelia Bell was a standout: she got on base in four of her five plate appearances with three stolen bases, three runs, and three RBI. Those three stolen bases gave Bell a new career-high. Paige Dymek also deserves some recognition as she hit her first triple of the season.
