Baseball Game Preview: Wayland-Cohocton Eagles vs. Dansville Mustangs

The Wayland-Cohocton Eagles will square off against the Dansville Mustangs at 4:30 p.m. on Friday. The last three games Wayland-Cohocton has played have been within two runs, so don't be surprised if it's a close one.

Wayland-Cohocton took a loss when they played away from home on Monday, but their home fans gave them all the motivation they needed on Tuesday. They skirted past Geneseo 14-12. Considering the Eagles' hitters had been struggling lately, the high-scoring outing was a much-needed turnaround.

Wayland-Cohocton got a big performance out of Alex Fedorchuk, who went 1-for-3 with three runs, one stolen base, and one RBI. Another player making a difference was Ethan Loop, who went 2-for-4 with two runs, one stolen base, and one RBI.

Meanwhile, after soaring to ten runs the game before, Dansville was a bit more limited in their match on Wednesday. They fell 6-1 to Livonia.

Jake Kreiley was cooking despite his team's loss, going 1-for-3 with one home run and one stolen base.

Dansville's loss dropped their record down to 2-2. As for Wayland-Cohocton, the victory got them back to even at 3-3.
