Volleyball Game Preview: Rockford Rams vs. East Kentwood Falcons + How To Watch

Rockford is a perfect 10-0 against East Kentwood since August of 2021 and they'll have a chance to extend that dominance on Thursday. The Rams will head out to take on the Falcons at 7:00 p.m. Rockford will be strutting in after a win while East Kentwood will be coming in after a defeat.

Rockford is coming in fresh off a high-stakes matchup with another one of Michigan's top teams: Hudsonville, who was ranked 11th at the time (Rockford was ranked first). The Rams came out on top against the Eagles by a score of 3-1 on Tuesday. Give some credit to the fans of both teams: the last seven times they've met, the home team has come away the winner.

Rockford got the W, but it wasn't easy, at least in the first set. The match finished with set scores of 32-30, 22-25, 25-18, 25-23.

Izzie Delacher was the offensive standout of the contest as she hit 100% for five kills and 12 digs and two aces. She is also on a roll when it comes to assists, as she's now posted 12 or more in each of the last 31 games she's played dating back to last season.

Meanwhile, East Kentwood came up short against West Ottawa on Thursday, falling 3-0. The Falcons have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

Rockford's victory bumped their record up to 22-1. As for East Kentwood, their loss dropped their record down to 4-21-1.

Rockford took their win against East Kentwood when the teams last played back in October of 2024 by a conclusive 3-0 score. The rematch might be a little tougher for the Rams since the team won't have the home-court advantage this time around. We'll see if the change in venue makes a difference.
