Soccer Recap: Fairfield Central Takes a Loss

Fairfield Central was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their ninth straight loss. They were a single goal away from ending the streak, but they lost a 5-4 heartbreaker at the hands of the Eau Claire Shamrocks. Even if Fairfield Central couldn't come away with the victory, the high-scoring effort was a great turnaround for their offense, which had struggled int the games prior.

Fairfield Central's defeat dropped their record down to 0-9. As for Eau Claire, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-4.

We've got plenty of inter-region action coming up soon. Fairfield Central will square off against rival Clinton at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday. Meanwhile, Eau Claire is set to face off against their familiar foe Chester at 5:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
