Volleyball Recap: Belfry Comes Up Short

Belfry was not able to break out of their rough patch on Monday as the team picked up their seventh straight loss. They took a 3-1 hit to the loss column at the hands of the Betsy Layne Bobcats. Unfortunately, that's the second time they've come up short against the Bobcats this season, as they also lost their prior matchup 2-1 back in August.

Belfry's defeat dropped their record down to 4-8-1. As for Betsy Layne, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 9-5.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Belfry will venture away from home to face off against Martin County at 6:00 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Betsy Layne, they will head out to square off against Prestonsburg at 7:30 p.m. on Tuesday.
