Volleyball Recap: Wayland-Cohocton Comes Up Short

Wayland-Cohocton lost against Hornell back in September and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Eagles lost 3-0 to the Red Raiders. The Eagles have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back matches.

While Wayland-Cohocton was not able to make it on the board, they still kept things close, especially in the third set. The match finished with set scores of 25-15, 25-13, 25-22.

Mia Nasca was nothing short of spectacular for Hornell: she had 23 digs and two aces. That's the most aces Nasca has posted over her last five matches.

Wayland-Cohocton's defeat dropped their record down to 10-6. As for Hornell, they are on a roll lately: they've won six of their last seven contests. That's provided a nice bump to their 9-3 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Wayland-Cohocton will welcome Pavilion at 6:30 p.m. on Friday. As for Hornell, they will be playing at home against York at 6:00 p.m. on Thursday.
