Softball Recap: Sequoyah Comes Up Short

Sequoyah fell victim to Heritage and their airtight pitching crew on Thursday. They came up short against the Mountaineers, falling 10-0. The Chiefs have struggled against the Mountaineers recently, as the game was their fourth consecutive lost meeting.

Sequoyah's loss dropped their record down to 6-6. As for Heritage, they are on a roll lately: they've won seven of their last nine matchups. That's provided a nice bump to their 18-7 record this season.

Both squads are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Sequoyah will challenge South-Doyle at 5:30 p.m. on Monday. The Cherokees will roll in looking for their fourth straight victory, something the Chiefs surely won't give up without a fight. As for Heritage, they will take on Maryville at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
