Basketball Recap: Frederick Gunn Takes Loss Despite Strong Performances from Justin Robinson and Jah Reaves

Frederick Gunn lost against Millbrook School back in January of 2018 and unfortunately they wound up with the same result on Wednesday. The Frederick Gunn Highlanders fell 55-44 to the Millbrook School Mustangs. The Highlanders have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.

Frederick Gunn's loss came despite strong showings from Jah Reaves and Justin Robinson. Reaves posted seven points along with ten boards and four steals, while Robinson had 17 points. The dominant performance gave Reaves a new career-high in steals. Langston Woods was another key player, putting up ten points.

Even though they lost, Frederick Gunn smashed the offensive glass and finished the game with 15 offensive boards. That's the most offensive rebounds they've managed all season.

Frederick Gunn's defeat dropped their record down to 7-11. As for Millbrook School, the victory made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 2-0.

Frederick Gunn will head out to square off against Greenwich Country Day at 5:15 p.m. on February 5th. As for Millbrook School, they will have some time to savor their win since their next game is a little ways off: they'll take on Frederick Gunn at 4:30 p.m. on March 1st.
