Rocky Mountain and Lovell are an even 4-4 against one another since August of 2016, but not for long. The Rocky Mountain Grizzlies are on the road again on Tuesday to play the Lovell Bulldogs at 5:00 p.m. Rocky Mountain will be strutting in after a win while Lovell will be coming in after a defeat.
Having struggled with seven losses in a row, Rocky Mountain finally turned things around against Saratoga on Saturday. They walked away with a 2-0 victory over the Panthers.
Rocky Mountain was dominant in the first set, but otherwise had just enough against a tough Saratoga squad. The match finished with set scores of 25-11, 25-21.
Meanwhile, Lovell faced Tongue River in a battle between two of the state's top teams on Saturday. Lovell fell 3-1 to Tongue River. The Bulldogs have now taken an 'L' in back-to-back games.
Lovell started the match hot and won the first set, but they struggled down the stretch and lost the last three. Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 16-25, 25-19, 25-21, 25-15.
Rocky Mountain's first win this season bumped their record up to 1-8-2. As for Lovell, their defeat dropped their record down to 3-3.
