Volleyball Recap: The Covenant's Victory on Thursday Extends Winning Streak to Four

The Covenant came tearing into Thursday's game with three straight wins , and they left with even more momentum. They put the hurt on the Virginia Academy Patriots with a sharp 3-0 victory. The Eagles have seen this before: they got the W the last time they saw the Patriots, too.

Once all was said and done, the final score wound up at 25-13, 25-11, 25-16.

Kerrigan Poindexter paced The Covenant's offense, picking up 11 kills. Poindexter got some help from Mollie Wamhoff and her 25 assists. Miller Grimes and Kalley Mcnish kept things locked in from the service line: the pair finished with five aces apiece.

The Covenant's win bumped their record up to 9-1. As for Virginia Academy, their defeat ended an eight-game streak of wins at home dating back to last season and dropped them to 2-5.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. The Covenant will host Veritas School at 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday. As for Virginia Academy, they will square off against Evergreen Christian at 5:30 p.m. on Monday.
