Baseball Recap: Chamberlain Comes Up Short

Chamberlain was not able to break out of their rough patch on Thursday as the team picked up their fifth straight loss dating back to last season. They lost 12-1 to the Jefferson Dragons. The result was an unpleasant reminder to the Storm of the 10-0 defeat they experienced in the pair's previous head-to-head fixture back in April of 2024.

Chamberlain saw three different players step up and record at least one hit. One of them was Brihan Arteaga Diaz, who went a perfect 1-for-1 with one stolen base. That stolen base marked the first that Arteaga Diaz's stolen this season.

Chamberlain's loss dropped their record down to 0-4. As for Jefferson, the win made it two in a row for them and bumps their season record up to 3-1.

Chamberlain and Jefferson's offenses will be put to the test in their next games. Chamberlain will face off against Robinson at 10:00 a.m. on Saturday, a team that's only allowed four runs per game. Meanwhile, Jefferson and Alonso (who has only given up two runs per game) will meet at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday.
