Basketball Recap: Rowland Hall Winged Lions vs. American Leadership Academy Eagles

After a string of four wins, the Rowland Hall Winged Lions's good fortune finally ran out on Wednesday. They took a 54-47 hit to the loss column at the hands of American Leadership Academy. Rowland Hall was given a dose of their own medicine in this game as the Eagles apparently hadn't forgotten their defeat the last time these teams played back in January.

Rowland Hall lost despite a true team effort on the offense, the best among them being William Chin, who dropped a double-double on 15 points and 12 rebounds. As a matter of fact, that's the most points Chin has scored all season. The team also got some help courtesy of Yeshi Tsering, who scored 12 points along with two steals.

Rowland Hall's defeat ended a three-game streak of away wins and brought them to 8-11. As for American Leadership Academy, the win got them back to even at 10-10.

Both teams are looking forward to the support of their home crowds in their upcoming games. Rowland Hall will take on the Jayhawks at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. St. Joseph has now lost nine straight, and the team is hunting for their first win since December 8. As for American Leadership Academy, they will be playing in front of their home fans against the Eagles at 7:00 p.m. on Friday. The matchup should be an exciting one, as these teams are closely ranked in Utah (Draper APA is ranked 131st, while the Eagles are ranked 114th).
