Basketball Recap: Jamir Mcneil Leads a Balanced Attack to Beat Lower Cape May

Middle Township won the last time they faced Lower Cape May and things went their way on Tuesday too. The Middle Township Panthers walked away with a 46-36 victory over the Lower Cape May Tigers. The 46-point effort marked the Panthers' lowest-scoring contest of the season, but in the end it didn't matter.

Middle Township's win was a true team effort, with many players turning in solid performances. Perhaps the best among them was Jamir McNeil, who almost dropped a double-double on 15 points and nine boards. McNeil is on a roll when it comes to points, as he's now scored 15 or more in the last nine games he's played dating back to last season. Another player making a difference was Chase Moore, who dropped a double-double on 13 points and ten rebounds.

Middle Township's record is now 4-2. As for Lower Cape May, this is the second loss in a row for them and nudges their season record down to 2-4.

Both squads will have to hit the road in their upcoming games. Middle Township will square off against Wildwood Catholic at 7:00 p.m. on January 7th. As for Lower Cape May, they will take on Holy Spirit at 6:00 p.m. on Friday.
